I LOVED that album you showed. White Bird was a classic. I don't remember it they produced any more albums together. It was truly a listening pleasure.

This is from his website.

As a tribute to Randy California,
I have culled, at random, quotes from his favorite poem.

                              “If”

“If you can wait and not be tired of waiting,
Or be lied about, don’t deal in lies”,

“If you can watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build “em up with worn-out tools;"

“If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run --
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And - - which is more - - you’ll be a Man, my son!
                                     -Rudyard Kiplining

And what a beautiful man you grew up to be,

                                                   - Mom

That's a very sad story, but I love how you take these obscure-to-me musicians and bring them back to life in your blogs.

As a follow-up, I can almost guarantee the Budweiser Shootout will have a new name in 2013, somehow incorporating Coors Light. NASCAR

Oh yes, by all means let's rewrite the personal history of the POTUS, under whom millions of men, women and children were freed from the egregious clutches of slavery and human trafficking. Let's throw some vampires into the mix because, after all, Lincoln's real-life accomplishments are so bland.

Not one dime of mine will go toward encouraging this level of crap entertainment.

It looks kickass! I think there's room for more takes on the vampire genre, especially those lacking romance.

Have you seen this series about a mafia hitman who is also a vampire? Killer cast from Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos, The Simpsons, Parks & Rec and Criminal Minds - Trailer at http://www.VampireMob.com

Oh my god, that must be why I didn't get my flowers yesterday! ;-)

Or maybe I didn't get them because I protest against the collective emotional blackmail that's behind pressuring millions of hapless lovers into sending flowers they can't afford.

Or maybe it's because I find something inherently wrong in the belief that we need a holiday in order to for lovers to say "I love you". Shouldn't that be something lovers say and show to each other the other 364 days out of each year?

Or maybe it's because I would never require or desire the man I love to throw money away on a commercial flowers when a wild flower picked by the side of the road and presented to me on any day other than Feb. 14th is, to me, the epitome of romance.

I LOVED the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show and all the characters, including Mr. Peabody and Sherman. The wayback machine was SO cool! I too will be eagerly awaiting this remake. :-D

Ric Grech was already a star in the U.K. thanks to his work in Family, a virtually forgotten British band led by the wild vocalist Roger Chapman and the underrated heavy-rock guitarist Charlie Whitney. Grech played on their first two albums, 'Music In a Doll’s House’ (1968) and ‘Family Entertainment’ (1969). The latter album contains three of his songs, "How-Hi-The-Li." "Face In the Cloud," and the single "Second Generation Woman." Many observers believe that Grech's departure for Blind Faith discombobulated Family on the eve of their first U.S. tour in April 1969 and prevented them from obtaining success in America.
